Who you are booking with
This site is operated by Paris Best Transfer, a French private-hire operator (VTC) with its registered office at Rue Alfred Niaudet, 60340 Saint-Leu-d’Esserent, France. SIRET 82204384000013. You can reach the office at info@parisbesttransfer.com or on +33 7 49 39 40 04.
What we provide
We carry passengers by private car with a driver, on journeys booked in advance. We are not a taxi service: a car cannot be hailed in the street and every journey is reserved beforehand. Two kinds of journey are offered — a transfer between two named points, and an hourly hire where the car and driver stay with you for a number of hours you choose.
Making a booking
A booking is made on this site. When it is taken you receive a confirmation email carrying a booking reference, and that reference is what identifies your journey in every message afterwards. Nothing needs printing — showing the confirmation on a phone, or giving the reference, is enough.
A few journeys cannot be priced automatically, usually because of the distance or an unusual pickup point. In that case the booking is recorded as a request, no price is shown, and the office sends you a price before anything is confirmed. You are under no obligation until you accept it.
The price
Fares are fixed and quoted in euros. The fare you are shown before you confirm includes tolls, taxes and the waiting time described below. Child seats are free. The fare does not change afterwards because of traffic, a longer route or a delayed flight.
The fare is recalculated when you move from the quote to the booking step. If it has changed in the meantime — because you altered the journey, the number of passengers or the luggage — the new fare is shown to you before you confirm, and it is the one you agree to.
Paying
You choose how to pay when you book. Either you pay the driver in cash, in euros, at the end of the journey, and nothing is charged online; or you pay in full at the time of booking by card or PayPal. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us — see the privacy page.
Waiting time
For an airport pickup we track the flight number you gave us and the driver comes when you actually land. Waiting is free for the first 60 minutes after landing, and a delay never changes the fare.
Waiting beyond that first hour is charged at €5 an hour, counted from the end of the free hour and charged in proportion for part of an hour — twenty minutes is €1.67, not €5.
At a pickup that is not an airport there is no flight to track, so the driver comes at the time you booked and waits 15 minutes at no charge. After that it is the same €5 an hour, on the same terms.
What we need from you
The journey depends on what you tell us, so please give us a complete pickup address, the correct flight or train number rather than a time, a phone number you will have with you, and an honest count of passengers and suitcases. A group or a luggage load larger than the one booked may not fit the vehicle reserved for it; a larger vehicle can usually be arranged, at the fare that vehicle costs.
If you are flying out, allow at least 3 hours between pickup and departure, and 4 hours for Beauvais.
Maps and address search
The pickup and drop-off fields suggest addresses as you type, and those suggestions come from Google Maps. That part of the booking form is provided by Google, not by us, and using it means you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service and the Google Maps and Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, which are incorporated into these terms by reference. Those terms govern the mapping and place data themselves; everything else on this page is ours.
A suggested address is a suggestion. The journey we price and drive is the one in your confirmation, so please check it reads the way you would give it to a driver — a building name, an entrance, a terminal.
Changing or cancelling
Changes are free up to 24 hours before pickup. Send us your booking reference and what needs to change. A change that alters the vehicle or the route may alter the price, and we tell you the new price before we change anything. Cancellation is covered on the cancellation page.
Children
Child seats are free and are requested when you book, so that the right seat is in the car when it arrives. French law requires children under ten to travel in a restraint suited to their size and weight, so please tell us the ages you are travelling with.
Luggage
Book the luggage you are actually travelling with. The vehicle is chosen by the number of passengers and suitcases you tell us, and a load larger than the one booked may simply not fit the car that was sent for it. If that happens we will try to send a larger vehicle, at what that vehicle costs, and where nothing suitable is free the journey cannot go ahead.
Tell us when you book about anything that is not an ordinary suitcase — skis, a bicycle, golf clubs, a pushchair, a wheelchair, a musical instrument. None of it is a problem when we know in advance; all of it is a problem at the kerb. Anything that cannot be carried safely or legally cannot be carried.
Your luggage stays yours throughout. The driver will help you load and unload it, and we ask you to keep passports, money, medication, keys and anything else you cannot replace with you in the cabin rather than in the boot.
In the car
Seat belts are worn by everyone, including in the back — French law requires it and the driver is responsible for it. There is no smoking and no vaping in the vehicle, and no drinking alcohol in it.
A driver may end a journey where someone is behaving in a way that is unsafe, threatening, or against the law, and where that happens the fare stays due. It has not had to happen. We are saying it here so that it is written down rather than improvised.
If the vehicle is left damaged or needing more than ordinary cleaning, we will tell you what it cost to put right and ask you to cover it. We will show you the invoice.
Animals
An assistance dog travels with you at no extra cost, with no notice and in any vehicle. You do not need to ask and we will not ask you for proof.
Any other animal is welcome if you tell us when you book and it travels in a carrier on the floor or on a seat. We say yes where the vehicle and the driver allow it, and we tell you before you confirm rather than at the kerb.
What we are responsible for
We carry you and your luggage with reasonable care and skill, in a licensed vehicle with an insured professional driver, and we are responsible for loss or damage we cause.
What we cannot be responsible for is a road. If a journey is delayed or cannot be completed because of traffic, an accident, a closed road, a strike, the weather or an airport or station shutting, we will tell you as soon as we know and do what we can, but we cannot carry the cost of a flight or a train you miss as a result. This is the reason for the margins we ask for above — at least 3 hours between pickup and a departure, and 4 hours for Beauvais. A booking made with less margin than that is one we will still drive, and the risk in it is yours.
We are also not responsible for a journey that fails on information that was wrong when you gave it to us: an address that is not where you are, a flight number that is not the flight you are on, or a phone we cannot reach you on.
If something is left in the vehicle, tell us as soon as you notice. We will look, and we will get it back to you where we can, but we cannot promise to find it and we do not hold items indefinitely.
Nothing on this page limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under French law.
