Paris by the hour

A city tour with us is not a fixed route with a fixed list of stops. You book the car and the driver for four, six or eight hours, and you decide what happens in them. Stay an hour at the Louvre or twenty minutes at the Arc de Triomphe — the driver waits either way, and the price does not move.

What most visitors ask for

A first day in Paris usually looks something like this, and a driver who knows the traffic can fit six or seven of them into half a day:

• The Eiffel Tower, and the Trocadéro terrace opposite it for the photograph

• The Louvre and the Tuileries

• Notre-Dame and the Île de la Cité

• The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées

• Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur

• The Musée d’Orsay

Tell the driver on the day if you want to swap one for another. Nothing here is booked in advance, so nothing is lost by changing your mind.

What is fixed and what is not

Fixed: the price, agreed before you set off. Fuel, tolls, parking and the driver's waiting time are all in it. There is no meter and no surcharge for traffic.

Not fixed: the route, the order of the stops, and how long you spend at each one. That is the point of hiring by the hour rather than buying a seat on a coach.

Before you book

The price is for the whole vehicle, not per seat — a family of four pays what a couple pays. You choose the pickup address when you book: a hotel, an apartment, a station or one of the airports. If you want to be dropped somewhere other than where you started, say so on the booking form.

Museum and monument tickets are not included, and the driver is a driver rather than a licensed guide — he will take you to the door and tell you where to stand, but he does not come inside with you.
